K/DA Reactivates Social Accounts, Fueling Rumors of the Virtual K-pop Group’s Comeback After 6 Years

Official K/DA accounts have been updated for the first time in six years. New profile and banner images continue to show the existing promotional art from the All Out era, now with the addition of hot pink flames. The reactivated accounts have also wiped existing posts, fueling rumors that the virtual girl group is gearing up for a comeback.

K/DA, which debuted at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, consists of four League champions (Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa) voiced by international pop-stars. The group’s first single, aptly called POP/STARS, was the first K-pop song by a girl group to receive RIAA Platinum certification in 2022. The early success of the girl group prompted the release of a full EP, All Out, in 2020.

Since then, the group has pretty much gone dark. K/DA skins still exist in-game, but there’s been no word on new music or performances. Until now.

I’m not asking for much. I just want to see a teaser from K/DA that’s as peak as this. https://t.co/gWU9yf04w9

An updated banner image continues to use promotional images from the All Out era, showing the main K/DA quartet alongside the era’s guest artist, Seraphine, who was a newly released champion at the time. As of October 13, however, those images also show the addition of hot pink and magenta flames .

Data-mined leaks from earlier this year already raised hopes that the group would have some role in the current season of League of Legends. Details in a Wild Rift update, first spotted by SkinSpotlights , pointed to a potential “Firestarter” skin concept, as well as a new song registered on the ASCAP Repertory.
