If Walmart Canceled Your Zelda Switch 2 Pre-Order, The Store’s Giving You 48 Hours To Get A New One

If you or a loved one has been affected by the nightmare that has been Walmart’s Legend of Zelda Switch 2 console pre-orders being canceled at the last minute, the retailer is doing an attempt at a make good, but only for a limited time.

Check whatever email you used for the initial pre-order and you should find a message from Walmart customer service saying that these cancellations were “in error,” and you’ll find an item named “Exclusive Reservation” in your cart. Once you hit checkout, you’ll reserve your console, but the email specifies that you only have 48 hours to claim it, so don’t wait.

Separately, Walmart is also throwing in an eGift card for $519, the original price of the console, for the inconvenience for you to use as you see fit. Maybe buy the Zelda pro controller or, I don’t know, groceries.

People who got Zelda Switch 2 console cancellations from Walmart can reorder the console within the next 48 hours. Check your cart/email. Checkout page: buff.ly/xXd1Hy4 #ad

They also are sending a $519 Walmart gift card for the inconvenience, essentially making the Switch 2 console free

Hopefully any consoles that have to ship arrive in time for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake coming to the Switch 2 on November 5.
