Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ is vastly different from its predecessor, featuring no Insured Slots. With this change, some players may be confused about how to actually unlock weapons in DMZ, since the game features a separate progression system from the other modes. These are largely done through Weapon Manuals. Here is how to get Weapon Manuals in DMZ.

Weapon Manuals are the go-to way to get weapons in DMZ, as they unlock them in the Gunsmith for you to purchase in the FOB. To get Weapon Manuals, you are going to need to rely on RNG, as they can only be found randomly in the following two loot caches:

If you are deploying into Dynamic Operations, the best places to head to are High Threat areas. These are the zones marked in red. However, you may very well also find them in lower-threat military areas, too. The train is also a good place to head to. For those completing their missions, however, complete these requirements first:

From here, load into the Operation Iron Citadel Mission. Infilling here gives you the best possible loot path for securing Weapon Manuals , thus allowing you to increase your chances of securing them. Once you have a Weapon Manual, you will need to extract it or secure it in your Insured Slot to bring it back to the FOB.
