The Journey Home is a side quest given by Old Man Gen in Phantom Blade Zero, who'll ask Soul to visit his house in Pangzhen and check on his wife. This can get a bit tricky, as a lot of areas in Pangzhen are either inaccessible or locked behind a Phantom Edge. Here's a quick guide to help players reach Old Man Gen's house in Pangzhen and progress The Journey Home quest.

Here's how players can enter the blacksmith shop to get the Bronze Essence during the Sword and the Way quest in Phantom Blade Zero.

Once you reach Pangzhen, the first thing you'll need to do is progress normally through the region until you enter the Lion Dance Hall and get the Flaming Mane Phantom Edge. Once you have it, head to the Pond of Fading Song and use the Flaming Mane at the marker in the image above.

This will open up the path to Pangzhen Slums, where you'll find Old Man Gen's house for the Journey Home quest in Phantom Blade Zero.

Now, you'll need to follow the mountainous trail, and you'll enter the slums at the back of Pangzhen. Make your way over the rooftops of houses until you reach the Pangzhen Slums bell on street level.

While you're in the area, I'd recommend completing the A Mother's Heart quest.

Near the bell, you'll see a ladder heading to the upper levels of the slums. You'll need to climb up the ladder until you reach the houses in the upper section.
