How to get to the top of the Prison Tower in Castlevania Belmont's Curse

At the top of the Prison Tower in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, you will find the Warrior, one of the initial bosses you must fight to open the gate to the catacombs. To access the floors in the lower part, you must use the adjacent buildings to lower the gates that serve as platforms and swinging spots. However, to pass over the Upper Tower and reach the Roof of the Tower area, where the boss awaits, your acrobatic skills won't help you.

Below, we explain how to get to the top of the Prison Tower in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse and where to find the carpenter's crane.

[Ed. note: This guide uses screenshots captured from a build still in development at the time of writing.]

You'll find the Prison Tower on the Paris Streets map by heading north from the Gate to the Catacombs and then west. Although you can explore most of the tower, the path to the door that leads to the Roof of the Tower map is blocked. The only way to access is by using a hidden crane.

You learn about the crane from a spirit who is on the western part of the Upper Tower segment . Swing across the two yellow anchors to the west and climb onto the platform with a lever . The spirit is above it, but to reach it, you must follow the path on the left , which contains several traps. Quickly jump from one side of the wall to the other to climb, then swing to a small platform in the left corner of this room (you can break the wall on the right side to reveal a "defense up" collectible).
