How to Get a Horse in Zelda Ocarina of Time (Remake)

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Remake) allows you to get Epona as a horse, which will act as your rapid mount to ride when you're playing as Adult Link. If you're curious about when and how to get a horse in the Ocarina of Time remake, then you can check the guide below to ensure you don't miss a thing.

Discover how to navigate Jabu-Jabu's Belly, defeat the bosses, and obtain all collectibles so you don't miss a thing in the Ocarina of Time remake.

After accessing the Hyrule Plains as child Link, continue through the main objective and complete "Princess of Hyrule Castle". You can now head south of the Hyrule Plains to find Malon at Lon Lon Ranch, who is singing to Epona the pony.

Speak with Malon, then use your ocarina next to her, and she will teach you Epona's Song:

At this point, the Malon's Friend sidequest will have the objective to "look forward to Epona growing up." You will be able to complete this objective after the Temple of Time, so continue through the main story for now.

After acquiring the Master Sword and reappearing as Adult Link, return to Ingo Ranch (previously called Lon Lon Ranch). You can head to Ingo and pay 20 rupees to ride a horse.

Once you're inside the horse pen, equip your ocarina and play Epona's Song:

This will cause the fully grown horse, Epona, to approach you, much to Ingo's surprise.
