While exploring Pangzhen, you will fight the Lion Dance Grandmaster, who drops the Flaming Mane Phantom Edge. However, you will need to progress a little further in the main story before you can use it to access the southwest side of the region and reach the Back Hill Pavilion Bell.
From here, you can explore the Slums to find either the Backstreet Cellar Crank or the place where it needs to be used. This guide covers both locations and how to complete A Mother's Heart.
Here's a complete showcase of all the outfits players can acquire in Phantom Blade Zero and methods to unlock each one.
From the Back Hill Pavilion Bell, make your way down while dealing with the enemies along the path, then use the chain to reach the other side. Defeat the enemy on the rooftop, drop down to the roof below, and deal with the enemies there as well.
Jump down to the balcony and continue toward the rooftop ahead. Look to the right for a climbable wall, then climb up and drop down on the left. You will reach an area with a purple chest, a raised ladder, and a few enemies.
Deal with the enemies before opening the chest to obtain the Backstreet Cellar Crank. With the crank collected, drop the ladder in front of you and pick up the Memory Flower nearby. This will start the A Mother's Heart quest.
After collecting the Memory Flower, make your way northeast toward the Pangzhen Slums and continue to Old Man Gen's House Bell.
