Here Are The Rarest Cards In The Star Trek MTG Set

The Star Trek set includes some fun, exciting Magic: The Gathering cards, and one treatment in particular is set to be extremely valuable. We're talking about the first-ever signed MTG cards: seven iconic characters with full-art cards signed by the actors who played them.

If you're keen to know more about the different card variants you'll find when opening packs of Star Trek Universes Beyond cards, then we've got you covered; we'll even run down exactly where each one can be found so you don't waste time and money hunting in the wrong product.

We're kicking things off with the most exclusive and valuable cards in this set. This set includes seven full-art character cards, each printed in surge foil and featuring the authentic autograph of the actor who played the role.

Each card is still a traditional Magic card; it's just textless, so the artwork and signature stand out. Textless cards aren't rare in Magic, but given that there are fewer than 250 of each character, we wouldn't recommend using one in any of your decks. Then again, if Post Malone can use his 1/1 The One Ring in his Commander deck, then who are we to say you can't use one of these?

Trekkies had plenty to enjoy as we took our first major deep dive into the Star Trek set and its Commander decks.

Another rare card in this set is the Klingon frame, but more specifically, the Klingon Language card. Only ten cards in the set receive this treatment, and Wizards of the Coast consulted Klingon language experts to ensure everything was handled with care.
