If true, PC gamers won't have to wait long to commit crime in Fake Miami
Grand Theft Auto 6 will reportedly be released on Windows PC early next year, a new report claims.
On Tuesday, GamesBeat reported GTA 6 will land on PC "within the first three months of 2027." That's according to "four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans" who anonymously spoke with GamesBeat. Rockstar has not officially commented on its potential plans to bring GTA 6 to PC.
GTA 6 is slated for a Nov. 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Rockstar famously keeps PC gamers waiting as it prioritizes console launches first for its games. Grand Theft Auto 5 came out in September 2013 for consoles and took over a year and a half to arrive on PC in April 2015, for example. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar's last brand-new single-player game, took a a year to be released on PC after its console launch.
If GTA 6 does end on PC during the first quarter of 2027, it would mean PC players would only have to wait a few months extra to get their hands on what is shaping up to be the biggest game of the generation. Fans have long assumed a PC version is on the way, even if Rockstar hasn't said anything about it, and recent new modding guidelines from Rockstar have only given PC gamers further hope.
A Windows PC launch for Grand Theft Auto 6 might not be the only time the game has a notable release in 2027.
