Googlebooks mark Google’s move into a new AI-focused laptop category with its first lineup including models from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

Google is set to enter the premium laptop market with a new device category called Googlebook. The first lineup combines familiar laptop hardware with Google’s Android and ChromeOS technologies. It also puts Gemini at the center of the user experience.
Five launch models come from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Prices start at USD 899, placing them firmly in the premium laptop segment. Each model targets a slightly different type of user.
Acer Googlebook 14 is the only convertible model. Its display can fold into tablet mode, making it useful for flexible work.
ASUS focuses on portability with its 2.2-pound Googlebook 14. It also includes HDMI alongside several other ports.
Dell brings its XPS design language to the Googlebook range. The model features a fingerprint reader and a slim design.
HP’s Googlebook 14 adds both facial recognition and fingerprint authentication. It also offers storage options reaching 1TB.
Lenovo takes a different approach with a larger 15.3-inch display. It is designed for users who want more screen space while working.
Googlebooks are built with materials including aluminum, magnesium alloy, and carbon fiber. 8K. Google also highlights haptic glass trackpads and backlit keyboards. Audio is another major focus, with some models offering up to six speakers.
