TL;DR Google Photos has introduced new customization options for the app’s Collections tab.
Users are now able to reorganize the tab and pin favorite options to the top of the screen.
A new update to Google Photos might make your crowded Collections tab a little easier to manage. The app’s latest update rolling out now brings with it new customization for Collections, letting users rearrange the tab and pin a selection of destinations to the top of the UI.
Once you have the update, you’ll see Favorites, Screenshots, and Trash pinned to the top of your Collections tab. There’s a plus icon to the right of those three folders and an Edit button that open a screen to swap out what you see pinned at the top, as well as a Reorder button at the bottom of the tab to rearrange the collections that show up below your pinned options.
