God Of War Laufey Collector's Box Slammed For Its "Cheap Statue"

PlayStation’s next big first-party release will be God of War Laufey, which arrives exclusively on PS5 on February 16, 2027. That game now has a collector’s box, and even though people are peeved that it doesn’t include the game, it’s something it does include that some people have a bigger problem with.

The $150 Laufey collector’s box includes an artbook and a 51-card Oracle Deck. No issues with those items, and the cards appear to be the leading reason why God of War fans might be willing to part with so much money for something that’s a companion piece to the next game in the series rather than something that includes a copy of it.

There’s also a statue in there. Typically, the statue is the centerpiece of a collector’s edition. That is the case here, but its design leaves a lot to be desired. Fans have been zooming in on the statue to check out its quality and find out how detailed it is. Unfortunately, in doing so, they’ve been left disappointed.

The statue features Faye mid-battle with a couple of afterlife enemies, but it doesn’t look like nearly enough effort has gone into making sure the Faye statue actually looks all that much like the character, who is played by Daredevil’s Deborah Ann Woll.

I wondered why the images on the collector’s box’s store page didn’t initially include a close-up of the statue, and now I know why. “It doesn’t even look like her,” one fan writes on Twitter , sharing a better look at the statue.
