'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' Leads New Wave of Xbox Game Pass Additions

Xbox Game Pass adds Square Enix’s acclaimed RPG remake, a supernatural detective mystery and several other games

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have another batch of games to look forward to as Microsoft expands its subscription library with new releases and older favorites. The latest wave includes everything from supernatural mysteries and online RPGs to a remastered tower-defense classic, with several games arriving for Xbox fans before the end of October.

One of the biggest additions is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Square Enix’s enhanced version of its acclaimed RPG remake. Here’s what to know about the game and everything else coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks.

Originally released in 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake reimagines the opening portion of the classic 1997 RPG, following Cloud Strife and his allies as they fight against the Shinra Electric Power Company in the sprawling city of Midgar. The enhanced Intergrade edition features improved visuals and additional story content starring Yuffie Kisaragi.

The RPG arrives on Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and cloud gaming on Oct. 29, joining Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass.

Here are the rest of the games being added in the latest wave of releases:

As new games arrive, several titles are also preparing to leave Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers have until the end of October to play nine departing games, including Deep Rock Galactic , Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga , and several LucasArts adventure classics. Two editions of Football Manager 26 will follow them out of the library in November.
