Fallout Day Celebrations Have Begun With In-Game And Real-Life Giveaways

Fans and creators of the series celebrate Fallout Day on October 23 each year because, in the game's universe, that's when the bombs dropped, which turned its backdrop into a wasteland dotted with the odd vault. Bethesda is kicking things off a little early this year, though, as even though Fallout Day is still a few days away, the celebrations are starting right now.

The first thing Bethesda has done to mark the occasion is launch a new social channel for Fallout 76. The new handle, @PlayFallout76, has been created to give players of the ongoing Fallout game a one-stop place to go to find out all the latest news hitting Appalachia. That begins with the new account's first reveal - key art for the upcoming World Pets update, which you can check out above.

It's also where Fallout fans will need to go, whether you play Fallout 76 or not, if you want to get some of the prizes that will be up for grabs throughout this week as we hurtle like a nuclear bomb towards Fallout Day this Friday. There will be three giveaways to be on the lookout for, each of them offering different unique Fallout goodies to some lucky fans to celebrate the holiday.

We don't have details on when exactly the giveaways will go live, but we do know what will be given away in each of the three. A Marshal Mallow bundle that will presumably include official merch themed after the marshmallow mascot, a Nuka-Cola gaming bundle that will likely be filled with video game accessories that have been given a makeover based on the famous fictional soda's design, and the one giveaway where we know exactly what's up for grabs, some Pip-Boy Xbox Elite 2 Controllers.
