It’s that time again. My monthly check-in on everyone who has Amazon Prime but still isn’t using it to download all the free games it comes with each month. And to tell the smart subscribers among you who already make the most of it which games are coming throughout October and when you’ll be able to claim and keep them at no additional cost.
There are ten games being given away to Prime subscribers this month, and the first, and biggest, two of the bunch will be available by the time you read this. The first is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit. A lesser-known 2D spinoff from the main FNAF series, but one that received critical acclaim when it launched back in 2024.
Also available today for free through Prime is Doom. Not the original released in the early ‘90s - that was actually a September freebie as its re-release paired with Doom 2 was part of last month’s giveaways. No, October’s Doom offering builds on what was handed out to those with Prime last month in the form of Doom (2016), the reboot that kicked off an all-new modern day trilogy for the iconic franchise.
Even though this month’s Prime Gaming haul reveal is happening on a Tuesday, new games will still become available on Thursdays. That means you only have two days to wait until the second Prime drop of the month. On October 8, Into the Pit and Doom will be joined by WarBreed and Conarium.
