EA Is Removing 9 Games from the Play Pro List

Electronic Arts is preparing to remove nine games from the EA Play Pro catalog on December 10, including FTL: Faster Than Light and several titles that have been available through the service for more than eight years. While EA's on-demand content catalog is leaving them behind, all of the departing titles will remain available through many other channels.

EA Play Pro is the publisher's premium PC gaming subscription, with its catalog officially called the Play Pro List. Formerly called Origin Access Premier before a 2020 rebranding, the service includes access to premium editions of select EA releases as well as a broader library of third-party and older titles.

EA responds to official inquiries into its decision to shut down Mass Effect and Dragon Age studio BioWare.

According to an early November refresh of EA's official service updates pages , December 10 will see its content catalog leave behind nine games: AO Tennis 2 , FTL: Faster Than Light , Into the Breach , Cosmic Star Heroine , Dungeons 3 , Halcyon 6 , Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus , Project Highrise , and Sudden Strike 4 . The batch consists almost entirely of titles that entered EA's PC subscription ecosystem between 2018 and 2020, back when the service was still known as Origin Access. One wrinkle concerns AO Tennis : EA's current notice lists the game under that name, while historical Origin Access records indicate that AO Tennis 2 is the title that is currently available through the service , having originally joined it in April 2020.
