Over the years, the Dragon Ball franchise has introduced some of the greatest and most iconic story arcs in anime history. From the rampage of the Saiyans on Earth to the tyranny of Frieza on Namek, these arcs have become staples in the anime industry and have shaped the series into the massive and incredible media force that it has become in today's world.
When asking fans about the best arc in the entire franchise, answers are mixed, but the Cell Saga is a common response. Not only was this arc one of the best in terms of what it showed and how it served the characters, but it also changed the trajectory of the franchise going forward.
Dragon Ball has had many transformations over the years, so let's take a look at those whose strength has been forgotten over the years!
One of the most recognizable aspects of Dragon Ball is the many transformations that have been introduced. From the series' early days, characters have been shown to get stronger through the unlocking of powerful new forms, and while that remains true for the Cell Saga, this story arc proved that raw strength isn't always the correct way to grow in overall power.
The best example of this came once Trunks unveiled his Super Saiyan Grade 3 state, which was perhaps the most physically powerful form in the story at that point. However, it was very slow and used up too much energy, and on the flip side, Goku and Gohan chose to master and refine Super Saiyan 1 to be much more efficient instead of relying on pure physical power at the cost of speed.
