Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is off to a great start. Episode 1 kicked off by adapting a brand-new scene from the manga, the art and animation were cleaned up from top-to-bottom, and Goku is already set to battle Beerus in the next episode. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 2 will be remaking some of the most controversial material from the original anime, so there's a lot riding on how the series handles Goku and Beerus' first bout.
At only 19 episodes long, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus needs to eliminate a lot of the first anime's filler in order to get through three entire story arcs at a brisk pace. Fortunately, with Toyotarou's Dragon Ball Super manga as a blueprint, there's next to no chance the remake can fail. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 2 will feature the franchise's first epic battle since the end of Dragon Ball DAIMA, and fans don't have to wait much longer.
While rare, Dragon Ball's purple forms are some of the most powerful and best-looking designs in the entire franchise.
An enhanced version of the original Dragon Ball Super anime that's quickly cutting out all the filler, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Episode 1 will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll with English subtitles on October 18, 2026 at 7:15 AM PT / 10:15 AM ET.
