Dead By Daylight Has Officially Lost The Chucky License

Dead by Daylight has officially confirmed the rumours that it will be losing the Chucky license next month, meaning that you've only got a short time to add the killer doll to your collection.

Ever since Dead by Daylight has been a thing, it's made a name for itself through the massive library of horror licenses that it has under its bloodstained belt. From Five Nights at Freddy's and Resident Evil to Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street, one of the main reasons DBD is so beloved is because of how many franchises it unites.

Of course, with that library of licenses comes a big risk, as they can easily be pulled away from the game at any moment, which is exactly what happened to both the Halloween and Stranger Thing collaborations. While Stranger Things eventually returned, it made it clear that there's a chance for anything to disappear, which apparently includes everyone's favourite Good Guy.

Over the past day or so, several Dead by Daylight content creators have highlighted a rumour that the game was about to lose the license to its Chucky content, which joined the game nearly three years ago. Unlike Halloween, Chucky's rights don't seem that complicated, so it came as a bit of a surprise when most creators agreed that the rumour was true.

Dead by Daylight's most beloved feature is its killers, but which of them is the best?

Sadly, that news has just been confirmed to be true by the official Dead by Daylight Twitter account , which shared a message confirming it's time for "the Chucky chapter to leave the shelf".
