YouTuber Dantics has revealed everything they found out about the cancelled Mass Effect: Universe during their time as a member of the "Mass Effect Council" that gave feedback to BioWare.
The sudden closure of beloved gaming studio BioWare was already incredibly painful considering how many iconic games and franchises they helped craft in their 31 years of operation, but it's even worse since it means the end of the next Mass Effect. While BioWare had only shared a small number of details about the game during its development, it was already shaping up to be massive.
That was quickly proven yesterday when a BioWare employee leaked the internal trailer for the next Mass Effect, named Mass Effect: Universe, which was being worked on and getting ready for showtime up until the studio's closure. Universe's trailer may have just been CG concept footage, but it was enough to show how much potential it had. Well, get ready for even more heartbreak.
Over on Twitter, YouTuber Dantics revealed that they were part of the "Mass Effect Council", a group of content creators who were shown what BioWare was up to with Universe and were able to give feedback. Dantics also put up a detailed YouTube video detailing the whole situation, which painfully claims Universe was "a lot further in development" than BioWare's messaging suggested.
#SaveMassEffect is going viral, with support from the Prime Video showrunner as the fanbase calls for EA to bring back the franchise.
