Brand-New Xbox Controller Officially Released

8BitDo has released its brand-new Xbox Ultimate 3 Controller in collaboration with Tomb Raider to mark the latter's 30th anniversary. The new Tomb Raider-themed Xbox controller pays homage to the series' history with a unique design that puts Lara Croft front and center.

8BitDo has some of the best gaming peripherals on the market, even occasionally pairing up with big companies for official collaborations. This latest Tomb Raider controller is officially licensed with Xbox, for example. It has a strong partnership with Xbox in particular, releasing Forza Horizon 6-themed charging docks earlier this year. It's always good to have competition in the peripheral space, as it encourages higher quality items for gamers to choose from.

Xbox has just announced another major change coming to its Cloud gaming service very soon.

8BitDo has officially released its brand-new Xbox Ultimate 3 Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary Edition Controller. It has launched today (October 24, 2026), which marks 30 years to the day since the original Tomb Raider was released in Europe on the Sega Saturn. Priced at $119.99, the new gold Xbox controller features a design including every iteration of Lara Croft from years gone by, from the 1996 original all the way to the recent Unified Lara. It's an awesome tribute to one of gaming's great heroines, even including an additional Tomb Raider-themed wireless charging dock.

The original Xbox Ultimate 3 controller from 8BitDo was first revealed earlier this year. This line of controllers includes a bunch of additional features, including extra bumpers, back buttons, hall-effect impulse triggers, and more.
