Lee Child Reveals Who Could Lead the Next Reacher Spin-Off After Neagley

Reacher creator Lee Child has identified Susan Turner as a character who could lead another spin-off show based on his best-selling books after Neagley. The British author raised the possibility just as the Reacher TV universe started expanding beyond Prime Video's hit show, with Turner also returning to the books in a role that could feasibly support stories of her own.

Turner was introduced by phone in Lee Child's 2010 novel 61 Hours before becoming a central character in 2013's Never Go Back. She succeeded Reacher as commander of the Army's 110th Military Police Special Investigations Unit, giving the two characters a shared professional history before they ever met in person. How I Met Your Mother and MCU star Cobie Smulders later played Major Turner opposite Tom Cruise in the 2016 film adaptation Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

As anticipation builds for Reacher Season 4 on Amazon, there's clear demand and potential for a video game adaptation, too.

" The Reacher creator linked that possibility directly to Neagley , noting that "Amazon tends to want as much as possible" from successful properties. " Lee gave no indication that such a project is already in development.
