The Hokage is an exalted position that only a select few shinobi can hold in the world of Naruto. Traditionally, this position is only held by the strongest and most capable ninja in the entire village, but also by one who embodies the Will of Fire. In the Boruto era, Naruto Uzumaki is largely seen as the Seventh Hokage of the village through the vast majority of the story.
However, recent turns of events have seen to it that Naruto Uzumaki is no longer the leader of Konoha. This legendary village, once established together by Hashirama and Madara, has now given rise to three new Hokage, all of whom are capable in their own ways. While none hold as much power as Naruto Uzumaki, it goes to show that Konoha is moving forward, and we are all excited to see how they develop as leaders of the village.
In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations chapter 55, released on November 19, 2022, the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, ended up losing the vast majority of his powers after tapping into Baryon Mode. Not only did Naruto lose access to his Kurama chakra, but also his Six Paths abilities. This lack of power paved the way for Naruto's fall from grace.
"Normally, when a Jinchuriki's Biju is extracted, they die. But that doesn't apply to you. The Biju chakra simply vanishes. It might look to others like you're dead, but you're just in a temporary state of shock. Don't worry, you'll wake up soon.
