Bilibili Gaming ended Dplus KIA's flawless Worlds 2026 run with a clean sweep in the third quarterfinal. The win keeps BLG perfect in Worlds quarterfinals, cuts the LCK down to Gen.G and T1 and could set up a rematch of the 2024 final.
The Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, hosted the best-of-five series. Play got underway at 16:06 Central Time. BLG support ON was named series MVP.
DK, the LCK’s fourth seed, had gone 3-0 in the Swiss Stage. With DK out, Gen.G and T1 are the LCK’s last two teams at the event. Gen.G booked their place by sweeping LYON 3-0 in the second quarterfinal. Invictus Gaming await them in the semifinals on November 7.
Fifteen dragons were contested across the series, two of them Elder Dragons. DK took just one, in Game 3, and gave up the dragon soul in every game, Sheep Esports reported.
Xun set the tone in Game 1 on Naafiri. BLG closed out that game after securing both Elder Dragon and Baron.
The sweep brings a financial reward as well as progress. US$400,000 and a top-four finish are now locked in for BLG, whatever happens next.
The result turned around a recent meeting between the two sides. At the 2026 Esports World Cup, DK knocked BLG out in the quarterfinals and went on to win the League of Legends event.
DK top laner Siwoo told Inven Global he was very disappointed the run ended so suddenly. He added that he would use it as motivation, since his career is not over.
