Black Clover Season 2 Sets New Record After Comeback

Black Clover fans had long been waiting for the anime's return ever since the series went on a long hiatus in 2021. Now, after an excruciatingly long wait, the series is officially back and looking better than ever before, with a new production upgrade by Studio Pierrot.

The difference between Black Clover’s seasonal release and its previous weekly release has been quite stark, so much so that fans have been loving every new episode that has come out over the last few weeks. Black Clover Season 2 is simply on a whole other level, and this new upgrade in production quality is very well reflected through the episode ratings as well. With its return, Studio Pierrot’s gem sets a new, exciting record. Black Clover Season 2 Episode 3 debuted on IMDb with a 9.8 out of 10 score, making it only the second official episode to ever reach this milestone. As the series continues, we are going to witness even higher scores from it, especially as the battles in the Spade Kingdom Raid rage on.

Black Clover first went on a hiatus in 2021 after its final weekly release of Episode 170. After a long wait, it was revealed at Jump Festa 2025 that the Black Clover anime would be making a return. Finally, on October 3, 2026, the first episode of Black Clover Season 2 made its debut and received amazing ratings.

Since the debut of Black Clover Season 2, every episode has been incredibly well received, and that is amply clear on one of the biggest rating platforms in the world, IMDb.
