Best Parry Build in Valor Mortis

Parrying in Valor Mortis can be very rewarding if you build your character around it. However, keep in mind that parrying in soulslike games is one of the hardest skills to master because you're constantly putting yourself in danger to deflect incoming attacks. Once you learn how to do it, though, parrying becomes rewarding and satisfying part of the game. In this guide, I'll cover the stats, Ambers, and upgrades you need for the best parry build in Valor Mortis.

A successful parry build depends completely on your ability to time your parries correctly, as many enemies require multiple parries to break their posture. This build will increase your parry window while maximizing critical damage to capitalize on posture breaks.

The Pistol is essential to this parry since it offers several ways to break enemy posture. You can consume Nephtoglobin to infuse it with posture-breaking bullets, or use Mighty Rounds to load 10 posture-breaking bullets into your Pistol. Either way, the Pistol makes it much easier to land critical attacks on enemies.

Starting with the stats, prioritize those that improve your parrying and melee attacks. Two of the most important are Parrying Impact and Critical Damage. Parrying Impact increases the posture damage you deal with each parry, making it easier to break enemies' posture.

As for Ambers, continue focusing on the same goals, which are increasing your parry window and dealing more damage when you break an enemy's posture.

For a parry build, you definitely need an Amber that increases your parry window.
