Best Buy Is Selling Pokémon TCG: Prismatic Evolutions ETBs at MSRP — But You'll Need An Invite

In a world where market price has become the new MSRP for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, you can now score one of its rarest modern ETBs — Prismatic Evolutions — for only $49.99 at Best Buy, thanks to the retailer’s new invite-only listing.

Amazon’s invite-only listings for Pokémon TCG Elite Trainer Boxes and bundles have been one of the best ways to score trading cards at MSRP without having to check multiple in-person retail stores or trying to beat scalper-bots during online drops. However, their now-huge popularity has made the odds of getting one of those said invites a ‘once in a blue moon’ sort of opportunity these days.

Seeing that obvious growing issue in the retailer market, that’s likely why Best Buy has been launching sales events like this itself. Instead of paying around $130.50 for a Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box (its current market price on TCGplayer), you can pay around 62% less if you’re lucky enough.

Said luck is still the most important factor of all here, though, as that essentially determines if you’ll be able to get one of these Pokémon ETBs for yourself.

First, you’ll need a Best Buy account, and you’ll need to be signed in as you select the “Ask for an invite” button on the page.

In the same way as Amazon’s Pokémon invites go out, your invite request will be kept on Best Buy’s system to be in consideration for the next (or future) stock drops the retailer gets for this particular ETB — before randomly selecting who amongst those requesters actually get an invite.
