Best Brontide Sorceror Build in Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

The Sorceror is the stereotypical destruction mage in Dragon's Dogma 2, and this class just became even more destructive in Dark Arisen thanks to a number of new spells at its disposal. Deleting enemies with hard-hitting spells is great and all, but if you're looking to be a bit more hands-on in your fights, here's a DD2: Dark Arisen Sorceror build that uses two skills that encourage players to get down and dirty instead of hanging back behind the team.

A single Golden Trove Beetle doesn't give you much carry capacity in Dragon's Dogma 2, but collecting them all can quickly add up.

[Dark Arisen-exclusive] Conjure a whip of lightning for a duration; press the spell button again to attack with the whip

Attack by creating a large spike of ice, potentially knocking enemies into the air

Plant a magical orb on an enemy; hit the orb to charge a series of powerful explosions

Brontide lets you attack enemies over a wide area with a lash of lightning. You can use this attack multiple times, up until the spell itself wears off. Unlike the Sorcerer's other spells, this one lets you deal sustained damage, which is great for dealing with small enemies or stunning tougher targets. Brontide is also great for stunning enemies and inflicting lightning-based debilitations. In many cases, this ability will be your main damage dealer against crowds.

You can get Brontide from the Sorceror's Obelisk of Benediction . It's near a ledge overlooking Lake Norgan, due northwest of the Norgandian Settlement.
