The gothic elegancy, high-fashion glamour and sleek black silhouette draw on the traditional witch iconography that, for me, makes the game so much more exciting. Bayonettafeels more like a supernatural fashion icon than a conventional fantasy heroine, and Hideki Kamiya gets all the props for the consistent stylish combat and baroque art style. Just look at Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe; they share that distinctly stylized character design that reflects Kamiya's broader creative style. In my opinion, these games have truly become a defining part of character identity in modern day gaming.
