Battlefield 6’s Dead Space Event Has Players Storming Area 51

Battlefield 6 is getting a Dead Space event in time for Halloween. EA and Dice are calling it a “non-canon” event, which means the Battlefield 6 developer can go wild with it. Necromorphs in Area 51? Why not?

The Dead Space and Battlefield 6 crossover was teased earlier in the week, with the alien monument The Marker showing up at the end of the shooter’s Vegas trailer. Pax Armata will be pursuing secret tech hidden beneath Area 51 in the event, which will be decked out with assets taken from the Dead Space remake.

Players will be able to unlock unique cosmetics for participating, starting when the event goes live on October 20. You’ll have until November 7 to grab what you want.

“Battlefield 6 is now one year old and what an incredible journey it’s been, from our Top Gun collaboration, which coincided with the return of Naval Warfare, to the launch of some of the most exhilarating maps in Battlefield history,” Battlefield Studios general manager Patrick Klaus said.

“And we’re just getting started, with Season 5 set to be the biggest yet. This has been an unforgettable year and we can’t thank players enough. We’re ending 2026 with a bang with three maps set in and around Las Vegas, a new way to experience REDSEC, as well as delivering on some of our community’s most requested features, with the introduction of Platoons and Server Browser. There’s never been a better time to play Battlefield.”

The new season sees players wage war across the Vegas strip, peppering the neon skyline with hot lead and baking under the desert sun.
