Human-Faced Banyan Trees in Phantom Blade Zero are challenges where you must fight through several waves of enemies before facing a specific boss. Completing these challenges rewards you with a Banyan Heart, which is used to unlock certain skills in the skill tree. There are five Banyan Trees in total, and finding them all will complete the Heart of the Banyan quest.
If you die during a challenge, you will respawn right next to the Banyan Tree and can continue from the last wave or boss fight, making subsequent attempts shorter. The guide below covers the location of every Banyan Tree and the bosses you will encounter inside each one.
Quick Hand Zhang also sells Banyan Hearts whenever you find him in a new region, so check out his wares as well.
Here's how to complete Quick Hand's Request in Phantom Blade Zero by finding every treasure chest and returning the items to Quick Hand Zhang.
From the Burial Ground Bell, make your way south across the map to the Parting Mists Bell. Continue further south from this location to find the first Banyan Tree.
Progress through the main story until you reach the Lion Dance Hall Bell. From here, head west to spot the Banyan Tree in the distance.
After using the Mandate Encampment Outer Gate Key and reaching the Sunset Path Bell in this region, ignore the main path straight ahead and head right. You will find the Banyan Tree near some enemies.
Once you have the boat and can explore Meigu Lake, make your way east to find the Lake Banyan Dock area.
