I’ve been absolutely smitten with the Pixel 11 Pro. Google’s 2026 flagship has been my daily driver for over a month now, and pretty much everything is clicking for me — be it the cameras, design, software, and even performance.

I could see myself using the Pixel 11 Pro for a while to come, but suddenly, I’m questioning if that’ll actually happen. And it’s all Motorola’s fault.

Motorola officially announced the Signature 27 this week, and it’s one of the most impressive Android flagships we’ve seen all year. Motorola seems to be checking every box, and even though I love the Pixel 11 Pro, the Signature 27 is calling my name for a few reasons.

I know a lot of folks don’t care about what their phone looks like, especially if you put it in a case. However, as someone who does appreciate good smartphone design, I’m completely taken aback by the Signature 27 — in a good way.

Finding new ways to stand out in the modern smartphone market is no easy task, but Motorola has managed to do precisely that. The Signature 27’s rear camera housing is unlike anything I’ve seen before. It’s a bit odd and may take some getting used to, but I really appreciate the creativity. I also love the gradual slope up to the camera housing and the unique textures on the two available colors.

I think Google did a fantastic job with the Pixel 11 Pro’s hardware, but what Motorola is doing with the Signature 27 really catches my eye.
