The Nintendo Switch 2's library has just gotten considerably bigger, with 11 new games launching for the console today, October 22. Not every game is a completely new release, with several established titles finally making their Nintendo Switch 2 debuts, but the sheer variety gives Nintendo Switch 2 players plenty to choose from.
October has already been an eventful month for Nintendo Switch 2 owners, and the latest releases arrive as the console approaches its first major holiday shopping season. With several highly anticipated games still scheduled for November, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Nintendo Switch 2 is heading into the holidays with an increasingly diverse selection of games.
I've played all eleven Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games that have released so far, and here is how I would rank them.
The biggest new release of October 22 is arguably Final Fantasy Resonance, the latest turn-based RPG in Square Enix's long-running franchise. Unlike the action-oriented combat featured in some recent Final Fantasy games, FF Resonance embraces a more traditional approach to battles while incorporating familiar characters from throughout the series. Cloud Strife and other recognizable heroes appear as Vision summons, giving the game a connection to previous entries without making them the central focus of its story.
The Big N itself has also contributed a new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort , which builds upon a sports franchise that dates back to the original Wii Sports .
