Bengaluru-based manufacturing startup Venttup has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, and Unicorn India Ventures.
The startup, which describes itself as an “Industries 5.0” startup, was incubated at Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
Venttup makes critical and precision components and subassemblies for industrial customers, and said its revenue grew fivefold to Rs 10 crore in FY26.
The startup said it will use the capital to expand its engineering team, invest in precision manufacturing and rapid prototyping infrastructure, and adopt AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency.
A large part of that is a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. It will handle precision machining, turning and sheet metal production for energy transition, defence, aerospace and space applications.
The startup said the facility should shorten the time it takes a component to go from development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.
“India's next phase of manufacturing growth requires strong engineering capabilities that can translate complex requirements into validated, production-ready components. At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing and scalable production through India's capable MSME ecosystem,” said Sandeep Nair, co-founder and CEO of Venttup.
He said the round would help the startup serve both emerging deeptech companies and established OEMs, and build supply chains for critical sectors under its mission of “India for India, India for the World”.
