Mumbai-based MakeO, the parent company of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has raised Rs 90 crore ($9.5 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC. DSP family office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures also participated in the round.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its dental technology business across India and Southeast Asia.
The fundraise comes after MakeO announced an agreement to acquire Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum in February. The acquisition is aimed at expanding its presence across Southeast Asian markets.
In 2025, MakeO acquired Apple Dental, a chain of 20 dental clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, for Rs 10.98 crore through a mix of cash and stock.
Following the acquisitions, MakeO has a network of around 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries. It also operates more than 60 offline clinical centres and has served over 4 lakh consumers, according to the company.
MakeO operates an aligner planning and manufacturing facility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), with an annual production capacity of over a million aligners. Its products reach dentists and consumers across more than 150 Indian cities, while the company exports to over 10 countries through the Toothsi and Zenyum networks.
Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal, MakeO initially launched Toothsi as its clear aligner brand. In September 2022, it brought Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella to offer dental, skin and hair treatments through a single platform.
Before the latest round, MakeO had raised over $100 million from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures.
