Rural healthtech CureBay raises Rs 100 crore in debt and equity funding

Bhubaneswar-based rural healthcare startup CureBay has raised about Rs 100 crore in a pre-Series C funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, as it plans to take its network of clinics to new states, including Andhra Pradesh.

The round comprises Rs 69 crore in equity from IvyCap Ventures and existing investors, and more than Rs 30 crore in debt from Trifecta Capital, Alteria Capital and VentureSoul Partners.

CureBay said the money will go towards expanding across India, strengthening its healthcare delivery network and building its technology and AI capabilities. That includes what it calls its Intelligence Layer, which is designed to support patient screening, health insights and clinical decision making.

“Rural Bharat doesn't need another app; it needs a system that works end to end, from the Swasthya Mitra at the doorstep to the specialist in the city. This capital lets us take that operating system to more states and make our AI do the heavy lifting, so that every family gets the right care at the right time, close to home,” said Priyadarshi Mohapatra, founder and CEO of CureBay.

Vikram Gupta, founder and managing partner of IvyCap Ventures, said CureBay's ability to combine technology with a strong on-ground healthcare network makes its model particularly compelling.

“We are excited to partner with CureBay as it scales its reach and continues to make quality healthcare more accessible to underserved communities across the country,” Gupta said.

CureBay currently runs more than 250 tech-enabled clinics across seven states, including Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar.
