Anjali Sardana, founder of instant household services startup Pronto, has set up a new physical artificial intelligence (AI) venture, Provision Labs, in the US. The venture will focus on collecting real world data to train and test AI systems designed to perform tasks using robots and other machines.
Economic Times, which first reported the development, said that Provision Labs will work with developers building AI models for robotics and other real world applications.
According to Provison Labs wesbsite, the venture is backed by investors including Lachy Groom, Glade Brook, General Catalyst and Bain Capital Ventures (BCV). All four are also investors in Pronto.
The development comes as Pronto expands its use of wearable cameras inside customers' homes to collect data for AI training. In July 2026, the home services platform confirmed that it was continuing and expanding the initiative through Pronto Verified, an opt-in service that records service sessions and uses anonymised footage for AI training.
Provision Labs' focus on real world data collection could complement this effort by supporting the development and testing of AI systems for physical tasks.
In May 2026, Pronto extended its Series B funding round to $45 million with a fresh $20 million investment from Lachy Groom. The round valued the company at $200 million, doubling its valuation within about a month. The startup had previously closed the first tranche of the Series B round at $25 million. The company has raised about $60 million to date.
Founded in 2025 by Sardana, Pronto connects households with trained and background verified professionals for services such as cleaning, laundry, utensil washing, meal preparation, car washing and gardening.
