Gourmet pizza brand The Dough Therapy has raised Rs 5.25 crore at a valuation of Rs 35 crore in a seed funding round led by Michigan Capital Advisors, formerly known as Melwani Finance, with participation from Equiglobe Investment.
The fresh capital will be used to expand its presence in Mumbai and support its multi market growth strategy. Of the total funds, 60% will be allocated towards expansion, 15% towards marketing and the remaining 25% towards supply chain infrastructure, centralised operations and kitchen technology, The Dough Therapy said in a press release.
Founded in 2020 by Abhishek Dedhia, Mohit Chheda and Gaurav Majrekar, The Dough Therapy has grown from one outlet to 10 outlets across Mumbai. The brand offers more than 30 varieties of vegetarian and vegan gourmet pizzas.
The brand said it has built a mix of new and returning customers, providing a base for its next phase of expansion.
The Dough Therapy plans to expand to 20 outlets over the next 12 months. It also plans to enter new cities across India with its gourmet pizza offering.
The brand will use a mix of company owned outlets, select dine in formats and franchise partnerships as part of its expansion strategy.
