Peppermint Robotics, which makes autonomous cleaning robots, has raised Rs 100 crore (about $10.5 million) in a pre-Series B round led by pi Ventures and Crane Venture Partners. Asiana Fund also participated in the round.
The Pune- and Austin-based startup said it doubled its revenue last year and grew nearly sixfold between FY24 and FY26. It last raised Rs 34 crore ($4 million) in a Series A round in April 2025. Peppermint has a presence in nine countries, with the US being its biggest market.
Founded in 2019 at the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay, the company's autonomous cleaning robots are deployed across a range of commercial and industrial environments, including factories, hospitals, airports, malls, warehouses, hotels and universities. Its machines scrub floors and move materials in factories, hospitals, airports, malls, warehouses, hotels and universities. They are designed to fit into existing routines rather than disrupt workflows.
The company primarily serves facility management companies that oversee cleaning operations, including the selection of equipment, chemicals and cleaning processes.
One of its more challenging deployments is at a global pharmaceutical company, where its cleanroom robots have passed qualification testing in an EU GMP Grade cleanroom, among the most tightly regulated settings a cleaning robot can enter, Peppermint said, in a statement.
Cleanroom robots are specialised manipulators engineered to operate in controlled, contamination-free environments.
The startup builds its hardware, software and perception systems in-house and assembles its robots in Pune. They run on proprietary Peppermint OS, using computer vision and LiDAR to map spaces, plan routes, and avoid obstacles.
