OTPless appoints former BharatPe, Genwise exec Geetanshu Singla as CTO

Bengaluru-based identity and access management startup OTPless has appointed former BharatPe technology head and Genwise co-founder Geetanshu Singla as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

In his new role, Singla will lead engineering, product development, platform architecture, reliability and security across OTPless’s authentication and fraud prevention stack, which includes Silent Network Authentication, WhatsApp authentication, device intelligence and passkeys.

Singla was previously Vice President of Technology at BharatPe, where he worked closely with OTPless co-founders Satyam Nathani and Tanmay Sagar during the fintech’s early growth. He later co-founded Genwise, which shut down its operations in December last year.

The appointment follows a series of leadership changes at OTPless. On September 18, the company elevated Nathani as CEO and Sagar as COO. On October 1, it appointed early team member Manas Poddar as Chief Business Officer (CBO).

OTPless claims to authenticate over 300 million users across consumer platforms such as Meesho, Zepto, Navi, PhysicsWallah, ShareChat, Shiprocket and ixigo. The company has grown its topline 2.5X over the past year to Rs 36 crore in annualised revenue and has been break-even for the past two quarters..

“The businesses we serve are some of India’s largest consumer platforms, and for them, login is the front door to their entire business. A failed or slow authentication is a lost customer, so they need technology they can rely on at any scale, on any day. Geetanshu has built and run technology at unicorn scale, and his joining strengthens the technical trust our customers place in us,” said Sagar.
