Zip Co Limited, the digital financial services company offering innovative, people-centered products, announced the nationwide expansion of its partnership with Best Buy, bringing Zip’s flexible payment options into physical Best Buy locations across the country. Eligible customers can now use Zip at the register by using tap to pay with the Zip app on their phone, bringing the same flexibility they enjoy online to the in-store experience.

The expansion reflects a measurable shift in consumer behavior. In Q1 FY27, Zip’s U.S. in-store transaction volume grew 61% year over year, with in-store purchases climbing to 30% of total U.S. transaction volume.¹ More customers are using Zip to pay in stores, showing that the flexibility they value online matters in person, too.
“Technology purchases aren’t always planned,” said Peter Volynsky, Chief Commercial Officer at Zip US. “When an appliance stops working or a laptop dies mid-semester, people need to make that purchase right now. Zip gives them the flexibility to do that, whether they’re buying online at midnight or walking into a store that afternoon.”
The Best Buy expansion reflects where Zip is headed: flexible payments that work the same way wherever a customer shops, online or in person. With more than 32,600 U.S. merchant partners and 4.7 million active U.S. customers, Zip is committed to making flexible payments available across more moments of the customer journey.1
