World Insurance expands Texas reach with Zoom deal

World Insurance Associates, a US-based insurance brokerage, has acquired Zoom Insurance, a Texas agency specialising in convenience stores and fuel retailers, as it looks to expand its presence in the Dallas and Houston markets.

The acquisition closed on 1 July 2026 and was announced on 26 October. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Based in Irving, Texas, Zoom Insurance serves individuals, families, businesses and specialist organisations. Its focus on convenience stores and gas stations gives World access to a specialised commercial insurance market.

World said the deal would strengthen its footprint across two major metropolitan areas in the southern US. The brokerage provides commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, wealth management, retirement planning and other advisory services to businesses and individuals in the US and UK.

Zoom Insurance owner Zulfiquar Ali Prasla said, “We look forward to being a part of World. At Zoom, we are committed to delivering reliable guidance and responsive support to our clients, while simplifying the insurance process. As part of World, we will have additional products and services to offer our clients, and we will continue to help them make informed decisions and feel confident with their coverage.”

World Insurance Associates executive chairman and founder Rich Eknoian said, “I’d like to welcome Zoom to the World family. The addition of Zoom increases World’s presence in the greater Dallas and Houston areas. I look forward to their continued success.”

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla acted as legal counsel to World, while Foretrust advised the brokerage on the transaction.
