MoneyGram, one of the largest payments networks in the world, has chosen AiPrise, an AI-driven compliance and verification provider, to underpin fraud prevention and compliance work across its international operations, as the remittance giant moves to overhaul the systems behind its sprawling network.
Under the agreement, MoneyGram will run selected verification workflows through AiPrise’s single platform, which draws on more than 100 data sources worldwide. The integration is designed to sharpen how the payments firm checks and monitors data in the markets it operates in, giving its teams a uniform method for reviewing information and recording the reasoning behind verification decisions within the regions included in the rollout.
The move forms part of a wider infrastructure upgrade at MoneyGram. The company is directing investment towards tools that allow its staff to handle verification with greater consistency and efficiency from one market to the next, a challenge that grows with the scale of its footprint.
That footprint is considerable. MoneyGram links customers in over 200 countries and territories, operating through close to 500,000 retail locations alongside a digital ecosystem that is growing quickly.
AiPrise provides an AI-powered platform built to simplify complicated verification processes for businesses, supplying compliance teams with the data and audit-ready rationale required to reach decisions with confidence.
For MoneyGram, the partnership addresses a core operational need: applying the same verification standards across a vast and varied set of jurisdictions while keeping processes scalable as the business modernises.
MoneyGram chief regulatory and public affairs officer Bahar Sahajwalla said, “Verification is essential to operating a trusted global payments network.
