Visa Commercial Fraud Solutions are part of a series of new capabilities designed to bring “trust and control” to business payments, Visa said in a Wednesday (Oct. 21) news release.

“Businesses are moving quickly to automate the work around payments, from identifying supplier opportunities to approving invoices and executing transactions,” Darren Parslow, global head of Visa Commercial Solutions, said in the release.

“These capabilities are designed to help them do that with the data, security and controls they need – whether they are growing commercial card acceptance, helping protect virtual-card payments from fraud, or testing how trusted AI agents can act on their behalf.”

The company says B2B virtual card payments will reach $14.6 trillion by 2029, per Juniper Research, representing 83% of the global market. As adoption increases, Visa said, companies are facing greater pressure to verify suppliers are validated, users are authenticated, and that payments are carried out as intended.

Visa Commercial Fraud Solutions offers protection across three critical stages of a commercial payment, ensuring payments reach the intended supplier verifying commercial card users via 3-D Secure authentication. The solution also lets businesses establish transaction-level controls, such as spend, merchant category, location and timing parameters.
