The company’s Series C round will allow Upwind to strengthen its product and engineering growth, Co-Founder and CEO Amiram Shachar wrote in a Wednesday (Oct. 28) blog post.

“Security is a cloud and AI story now,” the post said. “AI has a long reach within the enterprise environment, so we’re building AI sensors for endpoints, agents and skills scanners and are reinventing our inventory graph. It’s not about code to cloud anymore, it’s about endpoint to code to cloud.”

“We also need to use AI to respond to AI,” Shachar added, pointing to Upwind’s three categories of AI agents for customers.

“Blue” investigates “all log sources and data points to build a single attack story,” the “Red” agent verifies customers’ “exposure and attack surface” and “Green” which uncovers the “pressure points in your environment that can fix and remediate thousands of security findings and resources,” per the blog post.

The company has also launched its AI Labs for Cybersecurity, designed to offer “the environment, infrastructure, and freedom to work on security problems that are not only important today, but will define what the industry needs into the future,” Shachar wrote.

In other cybersecurity news, the PYMNTS Intelligence report “ Scams Get Personal: Why Banks Pay More to Fight Fraud ” found last month that 78% of financial institutions said the complexity of new tech systems was their chief barrier to innovation.
