TRM Labs has appointed former Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) official Ziqing Ang to lead its policy work across APAC.
As Head of Policy for APAC, Ang will engage regulators, policymakers, law enforcement agencies and private institutions on digital asset crime and emerging threats.
She spent more than eight years at MAS in financial markets development and reserve management.
Her work included supporting Singapore’s capital markets initiatives, managing fixed income portfolios and contributing to research for the country’s official foreign reserves.
Ang later joined digital asset bank Sygnum as Vice President of Business Development, where she supported adoption among institutional and accredited investors.
She most recently served as Chief Business Officer at Bright Point International Digital Assets, part of BPI Financial Group.
She led the development of its over-the-counter brokerage, including licensing and institutional infrastructure.
“Asia-Pacific is at an important stage in how it regulates technology in the age of AI, and the decisions made over the next few years will shape the safety of the ecosystem.
I’ve spent my career moving between regulators and the institutions they oversee, and I’ve seen how much good regulation and strong partnerships between the public and private sector can do.”
Her appointment follows TRM Labs’ hiring of former MAS regulator Claudia Hui as Head of Compliance Advisory for APAC last month.
The two hires form part of the company’s broader expansion of its policy, compliance and commercial presence across the region.
