The Zebra, an online platform for comparing and purchasing insurance, has introduced an agent-to-agent integration with AI personal assistant Muse, aiming to remove the need for consumers to type the same details over and over when shopping for cover.
Through the integration, Muse can pull relevant policy information and declaration pages straight from a user’s connected documents and pass them on to The Zebra’s agent harness. Normally, people looking for insurance have to hunt down their coverage paperwork and repeatedly supply information such as their address, vehicles and current policies. The firm said the capability will be extended to other AI assistants in the future.
The functionality is not limited to a single shopping session. Users can instruct their AI assistant to sign them up for The Zebra’s automatic shopping tool, which checks carrier rates every day and notifies customers when they could save money. This allows consumers to move away from leaving their policies untouched once purchased, with new savings opportunities flagged in the background at no extra effort.
Privacy has been built into the design of the integration. Data passed from a personal AI assistant to The Zebra will not be passed on to insurance carriers unless the consumer chooses and engages with a particular carrier offer on the website. AI agents using The Zebra’s Connector interact with its data harness out of view, without generating visual adverts or carrier placements, which only appear once the consumer reaches the final results page.
The Zebra positions itself as a trusted partner for insurance customers in the US, offering user-friendly services and tools alongside licensed advisers.
