Earlier in his career, O’Kain served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he helped to build the agency’s cryptocurrency investigative strategies and led complex cryptocurrency and financial investigations. He began his career in the U.S. Intelligence Community, focused on counterterrorism and national security. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
As Chief Operating Officer, O’Kain leads SVRN’s operations, product strategy, and corporate development, including the integration of acquired businesses. His appointment follows a year in which SVRN expanded from managing its digital asset treasury to operating essential NEAR infrastructure, participating in network governance, and making its first acquisition, FastNEAR.
