Investment management technology provider SimCorp has appointed Fiona O’Donnell as its first chief delivery officer, creating a new executive position to oversee client relationships and implementation as demand for its SimCorp One platform increases.
The appointment brings the company’s global client delivery operations under one executive, with O’Donnell responsible for managing the entire customer journey. This includes onboarding new clients, overseeing implementation and maintaining service standards throughout existing relationships. The role has been designed to help financial institutions realise value from SimCorp’s technology more quickly while improving the consistency of its customer experience.
O’Donnell takes up the position with immediate effect and will report directly to CEO Peter Sanderson. She will also join the company’s Executive Committee and be based in London.
The newly established role represents a change in how SimCorp manages its client delivery responsibilities. Previously, different stages of the customer journey were managed across the organisation. Bringing these functions together under a single executive is intended to create clearer accountability and improve coordination between implementation and ongoing client support.
The move comes as asset managers, asset owners and insurers face increasing pressure to modernise their investment operations. Institutions managing complex, multi-asset portfolios are looking for technology partners that can support large-scale transformation while delivering measurable operational improvements. SimCorp said its new delivery structure will support both institutions adopting SimCorp One and established customers that have used its technology for decades.
O’Donnell joins from State Street Corporation, where she served as a client executive and senior vice president.
