The company behind Singapore Gulf Bank has appointed former Singapore minister Maliki Osman and Revolut Chairman Martin Gilbert to its global advisory board.
According to The Business Times, Maliki will focus on regional cooperation and government relations.
Maliki retired from politics in May 2025 after 24 years as a Singapore MP.
He previously held ministerial positions in the Prime Minister’s Office and the foreign affairs and education ministries.
He now serves as Senior Adviser for ASEAN and Flagship Programmes at Nanyang Technological University.
Gilbert will advise on global investment strategy and asset management. He will also focus on investment opportunities across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
He spent 34 years leading Aberdeen Asset Management, which he helped establish in 1983.
Whampoa Group co-founder Amy Lee chairs AGH’s advisory board, with former US Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Randal Quarles serving as Vice-Chairman.
Lee said the two appointments would help the board assess investment opportunities amid political and economic changes affecting both regions.
